Mr Surjit Lidder

Mr Surjit treated me in the field in a very difficult location. I broke my leg in three places with my ankle break the most obvious injury at the time. I was in a lot of pain but he reassured me, gave me information and explained what was happening, controlled the rest of the medical team and volunteers who were helping. It was reassuring to have someone like him take charge. He explained what he needed to do medically to reposition my foot and why it was important to let him do it. His action in the field made my subsequent treatment and surgery at the hospital go easier and quicker I am told. He came across as professional, calm and very competent, and his peers at the hospital echoed this in their assessment of his work on my foot and leg. I am grateful for all his help Best Ali.
